Shiffonz was founded in 2003 and turned to Sculpt Digital in 2019 to transform their digital capabilities with the priority being organic search traffic. Shiffonz have a Magento eCommerce store and wanted to funnel more sales & revenue through their digital channels.

The Task

When Shiffonz first came to us with their brief, their main priority was to increase search visibility in organic search engines. Having heavily invested in their website, tech and operations they were obviously keen to start seeing visitor levels increase and subsequently revenue.

Sculpt Analysis

From our SEO auditing process we identified a series of issues to remedy, some more pertinent that others. Magento was creating lots of duplicate content and canonicalisation issues through a filtering extension that had been added, site speed was extremely slow due to a poorly optimised off-the-shelf Magento theme and low quality hosting environment. There was also no optimisation on any of the core meta data such as page titles & meta descriptions.

Sculpt Recommendations

Following in-depth keyword research, we identified a number of low hanging fruits. Shiffonz have over 10,000 sku’s and optimising the page titles, meta descriptions and product page content would lead to an initial traffic boost from low competition, long tail keywords. This was put to action immediately and Shiffonz started benefiting from an increase in search visibility. Further to this, Sculpt recommended that the Magento theme be adapted through a new child theme, optimising core page groups without having to reengineer the existing Magento configuration and dependencies to improved site speed. Finally, a content program was developed, focussing on trend and style tips that would feature on asian fashion & wedding websites and partner bloggers, identified through an outreach program.


Over the last year Shiffonz have enjoyed a whopping 165% increase in organic search traffic and occupy page one positions in Google for over 400 of their 500 tracked keywords. Shiffionz benefit from a revenue increase of 70%, but more important to them was a significant boost of customers and confidence in their digital platforms to invest further.
