How to set up Google Analytics
- Go to https://analytics.google.com
- Log in using your Google Account or create a new one
- If you already have access to or own an analytics account go to Admin -> Account -> Create Account
- Choose an account name, website name and make sure your website url is prefixed with the correct http / https protocol
- Select your timezone and data sharing preferences (we have no secrets so why not share everything)
- Agree to Google’s extensive…. T’s & C’s
- Get your tracking ID
- Paste the code directly before the </head> tag – see screenshots for typical WordPress installation
- Save the file and upload to your server
